‘My role in Europe is to explain that Ukraine is a victim of circumstances. I have proposed to my colleagues to discuss the general strategy on the settlement of the situation in October', Tusk said during his talks with Ukraine's Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman.

He expressed hope that the EU would continue its ‘policy regarding the implementation and sustaining the sanctions' in December.

During his visit Tusk also said that Ukraine demonstrated ‘impressive results' in the economic sphere and the cooperation with the IMF.

‘The results that you've achieved indicate that your efforts are successful. It's not only my opinion, my colleagues from the EU Council are also impressed', he said.
