Ukrainian Speaker of the House convinced the European Parliament will support visa-free regime

Speaker of the House, Andriy Parubiy is convinced that the European Parliament will vote in support of granting a visa-free regime for Ukraine next week.

"During my last meeting with President of the European Parliament Martin Schulz, he said that in case of a positive solution of the respective committee a final vote on granting a visa-free regime will be held during the next session of the European Parliament in early October. Therefore, I believe that next week the MEPs will support this important issue for every Ukrainian," speaker wrote on Facebook.

The Head of Verkhovna Rada also thanked the European partners for their consistent support of Ukraine.

"I am sure that after receiving a visa-free regime with the EU - every Ukrainian will really feel himself to be a free citizen of the free world. The decision of the European Parliament Committee shows that Ukraine was worthy of examination reforms towards European integration," Parubiy summarised.

As reported, yesterday key committee of the European Parliament backed the Ukrainian cause on visa cancellation.
