Obama, Hollande, Merkel discuss Ukraine on G20 sidelines

Ukraine is not a party to the talks on its future

US President Barack Obama on Monday, September 5, met with French President Francois Hollande and German Chancellor Angela Merkel to discuss the situation in Ukraine.

The meeting is taking place on the sidelines of the Group of 20 summit in Hangzhou, China.

Ukraine was also on the agenda of another high-profile meeting. The situation in country's eastern regions was discussed as US President Barack Obama was holding talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

More details about the meetings are expected later in the day.
