Monitors comment on accusations of supplying ammunition in eastern Ukraine

OSCE's Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine emphasizes it has never provided any intelligence or other assistance to the Ukrainian Army in the conflict in eastern Ukraine.

"In response to recent allegations that the OSCE SMM supplies ammunition to the Ukrainian Armed Forces: the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission operates under the principle of transparency and impartiality," OSCE published the statement on the mission's Facebook page.

"The OSCE SMM does not, and never has, provided help to the sides to the conflict, be it material aid, reconnaissance or support in gaining ground," the international observers say.

The mission stresses that it "is mandated to monitor and report on the situation objectively, and to facilitate dialogue."
