The President will address the UN General Assembly to meet the world leaders
Ukraine's President Petro Poroshenko will pay a visit to the US on September 18-21, according to the Presidential website.
The head of state will deliver a speech at the 71st session of the UN General Assembly. Petro Poroshenko will also take part in a summit of the UN Security Council.
On the UN margins, the President will have a range of meetings with foreign leaders of Turkey, Japan, New Zealand, Argentina, Qatar and other countries.
"A focus of the visit will be a matter of broadening relations of strategic partnership between Ukraine and the US. In that context, Petro Poroshenko will meet with American authorities, representatives of business and political circles of the country", the announcement reads.
The President will traditionally meet with the Ukrainian community in the US.
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko plans to meet U.S. President Barack Obama and presidential candidate Hillary Clinton during his upcoming visit to the United States.
