Poroshenko Bloc faction says the current parliament speaker Volodymyr Groysman will head the government

Volodymyr Groysman, a close ally of Ukraine's President Petro Poroshenko and the current parliament speaker, will become country's new prime minister. That is according to Vadym Denysenko, an MP from the Bloc of Petro Poroshenko faction.

Commenting on Arseniy Yatsenyuk's registration statement in his  interview with Espresso.TV Denysenko said:

"I am sure by 99.9% that Groysman will become a new prime minister."

Denysenko also stated that his faction would vote for Yatsenyuk's resignation.

Ukraine's embattled prime minister announced on Sunday that he was resigning, opening the way for the formation of a new government.

Yatsenyuk, who came to power in 2014, said he would submit his resignation to parliament on Tuesday, April 12.
