Poroshenko to meet with Obama, Clinton, and maybe Trump

There is no confirmation of future meeting with Donald Trump

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko plans to meet U.S. President Barack Obama and presidential candidate Hillary Clinton during his upcoming visit to the United States.

President Poroshenko announced this while opening a plenary sitting of the 13th YES Annual Meeting, Ukrinform reports.

"I'll have a meeting with U.S. President Obama and I've asked for a meeting with two (presidential - UT) candidates. One of them has already agreed - Hillary Clinton. I'm still waiting for the confirmation from the second candidate – Trump," President Poroshenko said.

He also noted that Ukraine has generally had good support from the United States both Republicans and Democrats.

"It's not the support from a certain senator or congressman; it's a manifestation of support from the American people," President Poroshenko said when asked about Ukraine's expectations from the next U.S. president.

As UT reported earlier, President Poroshenko is visiting the USA on September 18-21 and deliver a speech at the 71st session of UN General Assembly.
