Polish former foreign minister spoke about 'fragile state' of Ukraine

Polish MEP Zbigniew Kuźmiuk has said that comments by former foreign minister Radosław Sikorski on the Ukrainian crisis were "irresponsible."

Speaking to Swedish magazine Svenska Dagbladet, Sikorski spoke about the "fragile state" of Ukraine following the conflict in the east of the country.

Sikorski said that "it is painful for any country to lose a part of its territory, but I'm afraid that if Donbass were to be returned to Ukraine in the morning as if by magic, then the task of reintegrating and rebuilding it would be beyond [the country's] capacity. Ukraine is in such a fragile state."

"I think that Ukraine should concentrate on creating success for the 90 percent of the country's territory which it controls," Sikorski added.
