Russian drones violate Poland's airspace

Country reinforced its borders and decreased number of incidents 

Russian drones violated Polish airspace several times during the past few months. The incidents were registered near the border between Poland and the Kaliningrad region of the Russian Federation.

This was reported by the Polish Minister of Defence, Antoni Macierewicz.

"Fortunately, we reinforced our borders and managed to decrease the number of intrusions. So there were rather rare incidents in the past 3 months", the Minister said in an interview with Polish journalists.

Macierewicz also expressed hope, Russian airforce would be more cautious when it comes to the NATO airspace.

Earlier Polish officials announced, the country would invest more than EURO 11 mln into the development of unmanned flying vehicles. Experts predicted Poland's drone outlet would constitute around 10% of national air industry in the near future.
