Savchenko calls on NATO to help release Ukrainian prisoners from Russia

"I urge you not to stop at my story" – Ukrainian MP says at Warsaw Summit Experts' Forum

Ukrainian MP and military pilot Nadiya Savchenko urged western politicians and diplomats to assist in the release of Ukrainian citizens illegally kept in Russian prisons, Interfax Ukraine reports.

"Today I am fighting for each Ukrainian who is held captive in Russia. This is not an easy fight, and I urge you not to stop at my story and help us free all Ukrainians from Russian captivity," Savchenko told the NATO Warsaw Summit Experts' Forum.

Savchenko also thanked the Alliance countries for their support for Ukraine:

"I am grateful to you, grateful to Poland for hosting this summit. I am grateful that I am free today and can speak to you, that you helped me to gain the freedom. I thank NATO for keeping the world multipolar and securing the balance of world powers. It is very important given the situation in Ukraine," she added.
