Pilot-turned-MP will attend youth conference and see Ukrainian soldiers in medical treatment

Ukrainian MP Nadiya Savchenko is planning to visit Lithuania at the invitation of the country's Minister of Foreign Affairs Linas Linkevicius. On July 10, Savchenko together with her sister Vira will be participating in the Conference of World Lithuanian Youth.

The Ukrainian lawmaker will also schedule meetings with politicians, and visit Ukrainian soldiers who are being treated at Lithuanian hospitals.

Following more than 700 days in Russian captivity Ukrainian pilot Nadiya Savchenko finally managed to embark on her duties as a lawmaker. During her two week of work she visited eastern Ukraine combat zone, refused her war veteran status and spoke in favour of direct talks with Russian-backed separatist forces.
