Situation Remains Tense in Donbas: Five soldiers wounded as militants mount 62 attacks

Numerous enemy UAVs circling over Ukrainian positions

No Ukrainian soldiers were killed, but five suffered injuries as Russian-backed militants launched 62 attacks on their positions over the past day.

Oleksandr Motuzianyk, Presidential Administration spokesman on ATO related issues, said the enemy also actively conducted aerial reconnaissance. Eight flights of drones were recorded – four of them circling over Ukrainian positions in Donetsk sector and four in Mariupol area.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian military intelligence reported that secret rotation of Russian troops serving in Ukraine's east is still going on. Some reshuffles of Russian commanders also took place.  

Thus, Russian Colonel Dmitry Bondarev, who headed the 9th separate assault motorized rifle regiment of the Marine Infantry was dismissed for reportedly singing the popular football chant about President Putin, and saying the top Russian military commanders should themselves go ‘fight with brother Slavs in eastern Ukraine.'
