Suicide bombing in eastern Pakistan kills at least 70 people

Blast hit the recreational park during Easter celebration

A deadly terrorist attack rocked Pakistan on Sunday. A suicide bomber detonated an explosive device at a recreational park in the city of Lahore in the eastern part of the country.

According to police, the explosion killed at least 70 people, mostly women and children. Hundreds others were injured, many of them are currently in hospitals.

Witnesses report none of the park's several entrances were properly secured.

Pakistani government declared a three-day-mourning due to the incident. Taliban splinter group claimed responsibility for the suicide attack.
