War in Syria keeps claiming infant lives - media

Syrian regime forces shelled school near Damascus, 8 infant casualties

Syrian pro-government forces dealt a rocket strike targeting a school in the opposition-controlled district of Kharestan in Damascus province, causing eight children's death, Anadolu agency reports on Monday. 

In addition, 15 children have been reported as injured. 

The Syrian regime's rocket artillery targeted the school during a lesson break, with one of the rockets exploding in the school yard, Aleppo civil defence representative Mohammed Adem told the agency. 

The aggrieved children were admitted to a local field hospital.

Meanwhile, Syrian air forces have also targeted the Hamuriye region near Damascus and Russian jets bombarded the settlement of Urum, leaving three casualties and countless injured.
