Two Russian servicemen killed, another three wounded in the conflict zone
Three Ukrainian soldiers were wounded overnight in the conflict zone in eastern Ukraine.
This was reported by Oleksandr Motuzyanyk, a spokesman for Ukraine's presidential administration, at a briefing in Kyiv, on July 17.
"No Ukrainian military were reported dead on the frontline over the past 24 hours. However, three Ukrainian servicemen were injured. It happened in the war zone, at the Mariupol direction, following militant attacks," Motuzyanyk said.
Over the past day, combined Russian-backed forces launched 77 attacks on the Ukrainian military positions, 37 attacks were recorded in the Mariupol direction, another 31 - in the Donetsk direction, and 9 - in the Luhansk region. Militants reportedly used the banned weapons.

On July 16, two (Russian) militants were killed and another three wounded. Those were servicemen of the 9th separate assault motorized rifle regiment of the Marines Corps (militant-held Novoazovsk) and 3rd separate motorized rifle brigade (militant-held Horlivka) of the 1st Army Corps (Donetsk) of Russia's Armed Forces, as well as the 7th separate motorized rifle brigade (militant-held Luhansk ) of the 2nd Army Corps (Lugansk) of Russia's Armed Forces," reports the Ukrainian intelligence service.
Ukraine's intelligence officers identified one of them. This is Vikhyayev Alexander, born 06.09.1982, a section chief of the howitzer artillery battery which is part of the 3rd separate motorized rifle brigade.
