Trump aides 'wrested away' candidate's Twitter account - NY Times

Hours before the election day, top Trump campaign aides prevented the Republican candidate from posting derogatory tweets

The U.S. Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump was deprived of using his own Twitter account by his campaign aides, the New York Times report. 

Trump often used to post blunt tweets towards his political rivals, which was considered specifically dangerous hours before the election day starts. 

"Aides to Mr. Trump have finally wrested away the Twitter account that he used to colourfully — and often counterproductively — savage his rivals", the newspaper marks.
