Likely Republican presidential nominee comments on Russia-U.S. encounters over the Baltic Sea

"Lack of respect for the United States." That is how the front-runner for the GOP presidential nomination Donald Trump commented on the repeated incidents involving Russian fighter jets provoking U.S. aircraft and ships.

Speaking to CNN Trump said he would immediately phone Russia's President Vladimir Putin if he were the president of the United States of America:
"I would call him and say, ‘Don't do it again," he stated.

Trump added that he had good relations with Putin, who allegedly called him a "genius".

Presumptive Republican presidential nominee declined to answer whether he ever met with the Russian president.
