Ukrainian army suffers more casualties as fighting on the frontlines shows no sign of ceasing

Two Ukrainian servicemen were killed and 10 were injured over the past 24 hours in the Donbas conflict zone, according to country's military spokesman Andriy Lysenko.

"In the last day, we lost two Ukrainian soldiers, and another 10 were wounded as a result of military clashes," Lysenko said at a daily media briefing in Kyiv on Tuesday.

The combined Russian-separatist forces attacked Ukrainian army positions in the eastern part of the country 61 times in the past 24 hours, using heavy weapons banned by the Minsk peace accords.
