U.K. to send 1,000 troops to Baltics - media

Britain reported to participate in NATO's deterring of Russia

The U.K. will deploy 1,000 soldiers in the three Baltic states as part of a new NATO strategy to deter potentian Russian aggression, reports  The Sunday Times.

The media outlet notes the suggestion to send troops will be announced at the upcoming NATO summit in Warsaw. The summit is set to be held on July 8-9 2016.

The U.S. Army plans to deploy a tank brigade to Europe for a constant rotational presence, in early February 2017. About 4,000 troops will be deployed in Poland, the Baltic States, Romania and Bulgaria.
