Interfax-Ukraine quoted Ukraine's President Petro Poroshenko as saying that during his visit to Mariupol (the Donetsk region, eastern Ukraine), on August 31.
"Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Yeliseyev has just told me that our partners in France and Germany have agreed upon this issue (the 'silence regime' in Donbas which should come into force starting 1 September) as well as they have endorsed the issue of resuming Normandy Format meetings", Poroshenko said.
According to him, French and German authorities will consider inappropriate any other meetings beyond the Normandy Format talks.
