Ukraine and Slovakia coordinate stance on E.U. visa liberalisation

Poroshenko and Kiska hold meeting during UN Humanitarian Summit

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has met with his Slovak counterpart Andrej Kiska to talk Bratislava's support for E.U.'s decisions concerning visa liberalisation process with Ukraine. The two leaders discussed the issue on the margins of the UN Humanitarian Summit in Istanbul.

"Presidents Petro Poroshenko and Andrej Kiska exchanged views on the priorities in cooperation with a view to Slovakia's upcoming presidency of the Council of the E.U.," a statement published by Ukraine's president press service says.

The parties also discussed Slovakia's assistance in reforming Ukrainian economy and further bilateral trade cooperation.

Poroshenko thanked Kiska for his supporting Ukraine's position towards Russia-initiated Nord Stream-2 project.
