This was announced by Canadian Ambassador to Ukraine Roman Waschuk during a briefing on May 10.

"We think we will be able to fulfill everything (negotiations) even in summer, this year", the ambassador said.

Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine Natalia Mykolska said that currently the agreement is undergoing the legal proofreading procedure.

Canada and Ukraine reached the free trade agreement in July 2015. The deal will eliminate tariffs on almost all imports and is seen as a signal of Canada's support to an embattled Ukrainian government to build its economy and establish greater ties with the West.
