Attracting the attention of the new administration is a challenge for Kyiv, ambassador to US says
Ukraine hopes to stay among the top 10 American priorities, the country's ambassador to US Valeriy Chaly said in an interview with Ukrainian 112 channel.
Chaly pointed out there is a ‘clear stance' among many Republicans, aimed at continuing their support for Ukraine.
‘Judging by the figures, that could take the positions of the Defense Secretary, State Secretary, Chief foreign policy and security adviser, these people are familiar to us. They have a lot of experience and know what needs to be done', the ambassador said.
He added, that Ukraine hopes to be among the top 10 priorities for the US, which is a challenge for Kyiv if it wants to attract the attention of the new administration.

‘The new administration is yet to outline its short term and medium term priorities. I think the situation is quite dynamic and requires active work', Chaly said.
He also informed that Ukrainian diaspora in the US has introduced its propositions, which were accepted by Republicans.
Donald Trump has become the 45th President of the United States, replacing Barack Obama.
