Flare-up in fighting results in more losses for the Ukrainian army
One Ukrainian soldier was killed and nine others were wounded as a result of the recent militant attacks on the Ukrainian positions in the Donbas conflict zone.
That is according to the spokesman for the Ukrainian Presidential Administration for the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) issues Andriy Lysenko.
The ATO headquarters reported on Monday that the combined Russian-separatist forces attacked Ukrainian army positions in eastern Ukraine 76 times in the past 24 hours. 37 of the attacks were recorded in the Donetsk sector, including 30 with heavy weapons; 27 - in the Mariupol sector and 12 - in the Luhansk sector.
Avdiyivka remains one of the hottest points of the armed hostilities. According to Lysenko, battles are going on almost non-stop there, with militants using artillery, tanks and mortars.
