Ukraine's army 'one of the strongest in Europe' - Poroshenko

Ukrainian armed forces are ready for any combat missions, the president says

Modern Ukraine's armed forces are among the strongest in Europe now, the country's president Petro Poroshenko claimed on Thursday, the UNIAN agency reports. 

"We have built a new Ukrainian army, one of the strongest in Europe, able to run any mission from the Commander-in-Chief, to protect freedom and independence of our nation," the Ukrainian leader said during the standard banner ceremony at The General S. Kultsitsky's National Guard battalion.

Ukraine's armed forces, the National Guard and other combat units are the solid guarantors of freedom for the Ukrainians.
