Ukraine's Deputy Prosecutor General David Sakvarelidze fired

Prosecutor General of Ukraine: Sakvarelidze was let go for 'grave violation of prosecutorial ethics'

Ukraine's Deputy Prosecutor General is out of the job. David Sakvarelidze has been fired for "grave violation of prosecutorial ethics." This is according to a statement posted on the website of the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine. The statement also reads there have been several calls and requests from Ukrainian deputies about the discreptencies in terms of the staffing of the Prosecutor General's office - since the position of the General Prosecutor of Odesa Region also belongs to the Deputy Prosecutor General of Ukraine - that is Mr. Sakvarelidze.

A Ukrainian government MP also brought this matter up before a Kyiv court.
