Ukraine's government approves Free Trade deal with Canada

Agreement expected to be signed mid-July during visit of Canadian PM Justin Trudeau

Ukrainian government has removed all obstacles on the way to the Free Trade zone with Canada. The country's Cabinet of Ministers has approved the agreement and has authorized the Economy Minister to sign it, Ukrainian news agency RBC.UA reports.

"The Economy Minister, Stepan Kubiv, is authorized to sign the agreement on the Free Trade Zone between Ukraine and Canada", Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman said.

The agreement, which was first brought up almost seven years ago, is planned to be signed on July 11-12.

Canada's Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's visit to Ukraine is set to take place on these day. He is expected to sign the agreement from the Canadian side.
