Ukroboronprom shipped 500 items of military hardware to Ukrainian troops in early 2016
Ukraine's National Guard receives the first batch of six new armoured vehicles from Kyiv Armour Repair Plant, which is part of Ukraine's major state-owned arms manufacturer Ukroboronprom. This was reported by Ukroboronprom's press service.
The armoured vehicles are equipped with Deutz four-stroke 6-cylinder liquid-cooled diesel engine BF6M1015CP and Allison automatic transmission 3200SP.
"Our priority is to make sure that soldiers get fully equipped to appear on a battlefield. We send innovative Ukrainian-made models to the frontline and focus on producing a new, state-of-the-art equipment instead of upgrading the existing one," said General Director of Ukroboronprom Roman Romanov.

Kyiv Armored Plant regularly provides high-quality and modern equipment to Ukraine's Armed Forces, thus enhancing their positions in the conflict zone in the Donbas region.
In 2016, Ukroboronprom set a course for ensuring high-tech production, reaching international (NATO) standards and equipping the Ukrainian army with the most advanced weapons.
According to the results of Q1 2016, Ukroboronprom handed the record-breaking 500 items of weapons and military hardware over to Ukrainian troops. The list included 340 pieces of new weapons like Ukrainian-made drones, latest mortars, rockets and armoured vehicles, as well as 161 items of the renovated and upgraded military equipment.
