Ukrainian servicemen will participate in ten multinational army exercises in 2016, says Oleksiy Chornobay, Defence Ministry Spokesperson.
Four of the planned training exercises are scheduled to be held in Ukraine while others will be conducted in Romania, Lithuania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Poland.
Over 12.5 thousand Ukrainian soldiers are expected to take part in the exercises.
Chornobay added the biggest European military drills in 2016 will be conducted in Poland, gathering 27 thousand servicemen from different countries, including Ukraine. Soldiers will be learning to counter conventional and hybrid military threats.
