Ukrainian army reports more losses in Donbas conflict zone

One serviceman killed, two more wounded over the last day

One Ukrainian soldier was killed and another two injured in the conflict zone in eastern Ukraine, military spokesman Andriy Lysenko reported on July 30 at a briefing in Kyiv.

"Over last day as a result of active hostilities, one Ukrainian serviceman was killed, one wounded and one more suffered a shell shock. We extend our condolences to the family of the fallen soldier," Lysenko said.

In total combined Russian-separatist forces attacked Ukrainian army positions in eastern Ukraine 52 times in the past 24 hours.

The Donetsk sector was attacked 23 times, the Luhansk sector 16 times and the Mariupol sector 13 times, the ATO HQ wrote on Facebook on Saturday.

The militant forces used banned 120mm mortars, fired rocket-propelled grenades, heavy machine guns and small arms.
