Saakashvili's resignation passed by the Cabinet

President's approval will be the final step for resignation process

Cabinet of Ministers accorded the resignation of Odesa region governor Micheil Saakashvili. The decision was made during the meeting on personnel issues. After the Cabinet's approval the papers on resignation will go to the President Administration.

President Poroshenko promised to sign it as soon as he receives the Cabinet approval.

Micheil Saakashvili announced his resignation on Tuesday. He explained the desicion with inability to overcome corruption.
