Troops from Romania, Great Britain, Lithuania and Poland join the celebrations
Ukrainian soldiers took part in the celebrations to mark Moldova's 25th anniversary of its independence, according to the press service of the Ukrainian Defence Ministry.
The Ukrainian military delegation was led by Defence Minister Stepan Poltorak.
Stepan Poltorak expressed his sincere congratulations to Moldova's Defence Minister Anatol Salaru and Moldovan people on the crucial occasion.
"Ukraine and Moldova have developed friendly relations, - the Ukrainian Minister said. - Besides the fact that this country is our neighbour and good friend, both countries share a common desire for peace. We are always happy to see Moldovan colleagues in Ukraine, we are open for a dialogue and ready to exchange experiences. I am sure we will expand the scope of our cooperation in future".
Besides Ukrainian troops, military from Romania, Great Britain, Lithuania and Poland joined the parade, which was held for the first time since Moldova gained its independence.
Ukraine marked 25 years of independence from the Soviet Union on August 24 with a massive parade of soldiers and heavy weaponry through central Kyiv in a grand show of strength and national unity.
