Ukrainian president extends condolences to victims of Russia plane crash, Ankara attack

8 Ukrainians among 62 who died when airliner when down

Ukraine's president Petro Poroshenko holds a moment of silence for the victims of a terror attack in Turkey and a plane crash in Russia. Among those who lost their lives on the airliner were 8 Ukrainians.

Petro Poroshenko, Ukrainian President: "Unfortunately, today we have very sad news from Ankara and from Russia. In Ankara there was a terrorist attack and in Russia in Rostov, a Boeing 737 passenger jet operated by Flydubai this morning crashed when landing in Rostov, Russian Federation, right near our border and all 62 people onboard were killed. And among these 62 people we have 8 Ukrainians. And let us mourn the memory of those who perished with a moment of silence."
