Vehicles can transport four patients on stretchers or six people seated
On August 27, the US military representatives handed out the first five Hummers for medical evacuation to Ukraine's Armed Forces.
In total, Ukrainian troops should receive 40 similar vehicles from the US.
The vehicles were handed out under supervision of Lieutenant General of the United States Army Europe (USAREUR) Ben Hodges and Brigadier General Dennis LeMaster, Regional Health Command Europe Command Surgeon, United States Army Europe, Ukraine's Defence Ministry reports.
"I am pleased to see these medical vehicles behind me, which indicates another stage of the US aid to Ukraine," said Lieutenant General Hodges.
The frontline ambulance BURTEK B4731 is developed on the basis of Hummer. It can transport four patients on stretchers or six people seated.
The compartment for the wounded soldiers is equipped with heating and air conditioning systems as well as oxygen supply systems for six patients and all the necessary devices to provide first medical aid.
