United Kingdom, Ukraine to deepen cooperation in defence

The Ukrainian parliament supported deepening ties with the UK in the defence sector 

Ukrainian MPs ratified the joint UK-Ukraine memorandum on cooperation in defence. Signed on March 17, 2016, in Kyiv, the comprehensive bill was supported by 236 lawmakers. 

The document provides deepening the UK-Ukraine cooperation in the military sector, including meetings and consultations, mutual experience sharing between the two nations' command, as well as cooperation between air force, navy and army units and holding joint exercises and training. Two countries' servicemen participation in cultural and sports events is also on the agenda.

Besides, the memorandum states that bilateral military training will be held on the basis of Ukrainian firing ranges, according to a previous UK-Ukraine memorandum of 1996.
