US State Secretary John Kerry plans to meet Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in Switzerland on October 15
US and Russia will try once again to settle the Syrian question - this time State Secretary John Kerry and Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will meet in Switzerland. They will try to reach an agreement on stable cessation of violence and renewal of humanitarian help deliveries.
In September, the two countries agreed to settle a ceasefire. Yet, it lasted just several days. Then, Moscow accused coalition, headed by the US, in shelling Assad army, and started to bomb opposition-controlled part of Aleppo. Russian jets mainly target hospitals and civilian buildings.
Several countries called the USA and the EU to add more sanctions against Russia because of these shellings. The United Nations - called the International Criminal Court to investigate Russian war crimes in Syria.
