A document prepared by speaker Andriy Parubiy is to call for faster visa-free regime solution

A parliamentary appeal to the EU institutions and member states governments, previously prepared by the Verkhovna Rada speaker Andriy Parubiy, must be approved this week, a deputy chairman for Eurointegration committee Maria Ionova claimed on Tuesday.

The Ukrainian parliament is to appeal to the EU national governments, as well as the European Parliament and the EU Council, on the free-visa travel regime for Ukrainians. EU visas for Ukrainian citizens must be abolished by the end of 2016, the document insists.

Ukraine has successfully fulfilled all the demands for acquiring the EU visa-free regime, but this topic became a manipulation tool for certain politicians aiming to destabilise situation in the country, she also noted.

According to previous reports, the European Parliament is thought by many to discuss the EU-Ukraine visa-free travel regime by November 24, 2016, although there's no information on the EU lawmakers readiness to approve the decision at the November session.
