Parties of the Trilateral Contact Group agree to meet again on Aug.3
No major breakthrough was reported after the Trilateral Contact Group representatives concluded the next round of their talks in Minsk.
However, the OSCE special representative Martin Sajdik voiced hope that the parties would agree withdrawal of forces from the Donbas contact line at the next meeting.
"There is another open question, rather fundamental. ... We have not lost hope to resolve this issue [withdrawal of forces on the contact line]. We hope that next time it will be possible" Sajdik said according to Interfax Ukraine.
The next session of the Trilateral Contact Group is scheduled for August 3.
The OSCE special representative also called on the parties of Donbas conflict to implement the Minsk accords in the current year.
Earlier the press secretary of Ukraine's representative Leonid Kuchma said the separatist envoys deliberately avoid discussing prisoner release and refuse to give information about whereabouts of Ukrainian captives.
