Soldiers shot-down a drone frequently used by Russian-backed separatist forces
A Russian drone has been shot down in eastern Ukraine.
It is now up to the Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) to decipher the information that is stored on it.
According to the investigators, the device is used to observe the area in bad weather conditions, as well as to drop light goods. Therefore, the technicians have to thoroughly look into the video and photo content on the drone's memory card.
The Security Service of Ukraine states that there is no doubt the drone originated in Russia.
The Ukrainian authorities say only Russian-backed separatist forces use similar devices. Secret service agents also add that previously drones were seen close to the village of Hranytne. In the recent weeks, the shellings from the Russian-occupied territories increased harshly.
The aforementioned drone was shot down by Ukrainian soldiers. After falling onto the mine field of Novoselivka in Donetsk region it was submitted for further investigation.
