Andrey Makarevich holds free public lecture in Odesa (video)

Numerous fans of Makarevich crowded Green Theatre, organizers called police

Andrey Makarevich, a rock musician from Russia, performed with a lecture in Odesa in southern Ukraine. Public readings on beauty and its role in the world were held in the Green Theatre. The organizers warned in advance there were only 2,000 seats available. However, the visit of Makarevich caused rush among his fans. Many of them came from other cities on the purpose of Makarevich's lecture. The administration closed the entrance an hour before the start of the event. Those willing to listen to their idol crashed the metal fence and broke into the theatre. In view of mass disorder the organizers had to call the police. The officers arrived at the site and forced the crowd back. In a while the situation calmed down, no arrests were made.

Andrey Makarevich is known as the lead singer of Soviet and later Russian rock band "Mashyna vremeni". Despite political pressure he has been supporting Ukraine since Russia annexed Crimea and started war in eastern Ukraine.
