A 22-year-old man was rescued by his quick-thinking friends after a shark attacked him on Wednesday (March 30) while he was surfing at Kiama's Bombo Beach.
Brett Connellan was surfing at the beach on the New South Wales South Coast, when the shark bit through his thigh, local media reported.
Connellan's life was saved by his friends who acted quickly to stop the blood flow.
