Former Queen Anne of Romania has died in a Swiss hospital at the age of 92, the royal house announced.
Anne and her husband, former King Michael of Romania, have lived in Aubonne, Switzerland, since 2004.
The couple, who visited Romania during the holidays and for official functions, had been married for 68 years.
Anne died at the hospital surrounded by her family, according to the royal house's statement.
She will lie in state for a day in the Hall of Honour at Peles Castle and then for a day in the Throne Room at the Royal Palace in Bucharest. She will be buried in the New Cathedral in the central Romanian city of Curtea de Arges. Full story
