Ukrainian protesters did not let Russia-backed pilgrims enter Boryspil, Kyiv's suburban area
Up to 150 of Ukrainian protesters gathered on the highway near Boryspil, Kyiv' outskirts.
Their aim was to forbid the pilgrims to enter the town.
The religious column of 400 members walked by, surrounded by security forces to prevent clashes.
They were attacked with eggs, garlic and bottles.
The Cross procession scandalized the Ukrainian society. According to Security Forces, the procession is infiltrated by provocateurs, bandits, and extremists. Disguised as orthodox believers, they aim to destabilize the situation in Ukraine and provoke protests and clashes.

Ukraine's Parliamentary Speaker Andriy Parubiy insists the march is governed and managed from Moscow and constitutes a part of the so-called hybrid war Russia is waging against Ukraine.
Earlier Ukrainian Nationalist Organization has set up a checkpoint on the road to Kyiv, the Ukrainian capital. The procession should arrive in two days. The procession started on July 3rd at the Sviatohirsk Cave Monastery.
The alternative one, organized by Ukrainian Patriarchate, started on July 9th at the Holy Dormition Pochayiv Lavra. Both will meet in Kyiv to celebrate the Day of Christianization of Rus on July 28th.
