English pop star urges more tolerance in Ukraine for LGBT community
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko met with the British singer and composer Elton John in Kyiv at a forum.
Gay rights advocate John came to Ukraine to attend the venue raise awareness about issues involving Ukraine's Gay Lesbian Bisexual and Transgender community. The 68-year-old singer called on Ukrainian politicians and business leaders to use their influence to guarantee human rights to all citizens of the country.

Poroshenko and John discussed the current political situation in Ukraine, the conflict in the east of the country and the plight of Ukrainian political prisoners held in Russian jails.
