Huge blaze in Indiana does USD 2 million of damage

Police report fire began from container holding grease from restaurant

A huge fire has broken out in the U.S. state of Indiana at a truck stop. Local media report employees initially attempted to put out the blaze on their own.

After unsuccessful efforts emergency crews arrived and evacuated the building. 150 firemen from multiple departments battled the flames, but the building was badly damaged. According to the authorities, the losses may amount to nearly USD 2 million.

An investigation into the cause of the fire is underway. Police are focusing on a container outside the building that held grease from the restaurant's kitchen.
