Made of ‘fragments of war', the project is seen as homage to TV show Game of Thrones
The ‘Iron throne', built by Ukrainian soldiers and volunteers in the Donbas conflict zone, is going on sale today, November 14, according to a Facebook announcement.
Everyone is going to have an opportunity to buy the item by placing a bid at an auction, organized as a campaign to raise money for the Ukrainian army, fighting against the Russian-backed separatist forces.
‘The money, obtained from selling the throne, will be spent to help the Ukrainian army. Not the commanding offices, but directly the soldiers on the frontline. Winter is coming!', the message on the Facebook page said.
The organizers say the throne is currently sitting in the conflict zone near Donetsk airport, but it's expected to be brought to Zaporizhia by the end of the week.
Made of bullets and mortar casings, the project is seen as an homage to the throne of swords, seen in a popular TV show Game of Thrones.
