Merkel and Hollande hold bilateral talks during Franco-German summit

Summit focus on migrant crisis and the fight against ISIL

French President Francois Hollande and German chancellor Angela Merkel held bilateral talks on Thursday, April 7, during the 18th Franco-German ministerial council, with about 30 ministers from both countries in attendace.

The summit is taking place in the eastern French city of Metz and will focus on the migrant crisis and the fight against the so-called Islamic State.
