Militants shoot down OSCE drone near Horlivka

OSCE confirm the loss of drone

At about 09:45 on Friday, the Russian-backed militants shot down the OSCE SMM's unmanned aerial vehicle near the town of Horlivka, which was monitoring the ceasefire regime along the demarcation line, according to the press center of the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO).

It is noted that the OSCE representatives confirmed the loss of communication with the drone. At the same time, the units of ATO forces who serve in that area saw a flash in the air over the militant-controlled territory.

"This case is another confirmation of the fact that the illegal armed groups continue to hamper the work of the international observers, who are entrusted with the task of resolving the conflict in the east of Ukraine. After all, before the OSCE representatives begin work on a particular area, they warn about this both sides of the conflict. The belonging of the UAV to the OSCE SMM is easily recognized by the design and identification marks on it," the press center said.
