Activists launched three balloons showing protest agains North Korean provocations on the peninsula
Nearly 50 thousand leaflets have been distributed in the border city of Paju, situated between South and North Koreas. South Korean activists launched three huge balloons carrying messages that condemned the policy of Pyongyang.
The protesters insist North Korean hereditary succession must be abolished, as must the nuclear and missile launching programme.
Tensions on the Korean peninsula re-started in January after the North conducted a nuclear test.
In spite of sanctions Pyongyang has continued to launch ballistic missiles.
North Korean authorities claim the joint South Korean and US military drills are threatening the state.
