Organisers of Kyiv's Equality March get high praise

Amnesty International says city administration and police did stellar job

Amnesty International Ukraine is praising the organisers of this weekend's Equality March in Kyiv.

The international human rights organisation also gave credit to the police and city administration for providing adequate protection to those taking part in the LGBTQ march.

The event itself lasted about an hour.

More than a thousand and a half activists walked for about four hundred metres.

Although there were some provocations, the march went off without any major incidents.
